From Sketches to Stories

My name is Kyria. I’m an illustrator based in the UK, and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I was the kid who filled page after page with sketches (usually when I was meant to do homework)

As an illustrator, I’m drawn to projects that feel meaningful and well-crafted. Stories with heart, nostalgia, and a sense of care behind them. Most of my work is in children’s publishing, but I also collaborate with brands, museums, and educational creators who share those same values.

My goal is always to create work that feels timeless and relatable, something that connects with our childhood memories and still speaks to us as adults.

My Journey

Read the Storybook Corner articles to follow along all my projects, and ups and down in my book making journey.

Every project starts with listening.

Whether it’s for a book, a collection for a brand, or a museum exhibit, that first conversation always shapes everything that follows.

A woman with long wavy hair, wearing a pink shirt and white pants, rests her chin on her hand and smiles at the camera against a plain background.

How I Work

Illustration is a partnership.

I like projects where both sides feel free to share.

I encourage feedback at every stage, unlimited changes so the work feels like something we’ve built together.

Hi!

A note from Kyria

Stories with heart stay with you.

That’s what I aim for every time, to create genuine and well-made timeless illustrations.

Authors & clients

I’ve had the chance to collaborate with some wonderful people, authors, publishers, cultural teams, and creative brands, all connected by the same love of storytelling.

Every project feels a little different, but they all share that sense of collaboration that makes the process worth it.
